There's a place in Penang where one can savour the 'king'  of fruits in the natural atmosphere of the woodlands. With textures and flavours ranging from smooth and fragrant to husky and bitter-sweet, these will undoubtedly leave an exquisite taste in your mouth and an unforgettable experience in your mind.

In fact, in 1987, 1988, 1989, 1991 and again in 1993 the Hor Lor, Red Prawn, Kun Poh Ang Bak, Green Skin Ang Bak, Lipan, D-600, Little Red, D-604, D-11  strains were judged the best in Penang.

Red Prawn, The Award Winner of the 1989 Penang Durian Competition. This specie is orange reddish coloured flesh, have very little fiber and are fairly sticky with a bitter-sweet taste. RM25/fruit. Your visit to Bao Sheng Durian Farm includes a talk on the different species of durians.
